The rooms were clean and the pool was a plus too. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were very good. Everyone worked to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable and they were able to provide answers to all our questions about everything we wanted to do around San Ignacio. The only thing to note is that the hotel is a little outside of the town so you might need a car to get into the town, it’s about a 5-10 minute drive so not bad at all. Most tours will also pick you up from the hotel if needed.

We rented a car in Belize City and drove the 90 minutes to the resort ourselves, as shuttles to the property are very expensive and once you arrive there isn’t anything within walking distance. You can take the bus into Belmopan, but the freedom of having our own car was wonderful. This is a great home base for cave tubing and other jungle adventures and for visiting Mayan ruins.

The hotel is a 15-minute drive from the western border, a 10-minute drive from the Xunantunich Maya Site and a 10-minute walk from the Cahal Pech Archaeology Site. The Princess Casino and the Green Iguana Conservation Project are a few minutes' walk away. The hotel was great and the staff were lovely and really helpful. Our room was big and clean. The staff at the hotel were really accommodating and helped us book in some tours. The restaurant at the hotel had really great food - we ate there most of the time (breakfast, lunches & dinners). It was about a 25min walk down hill to town but you could taxi back for 8-10 Pesos. The pool was relaxing and clean as well. I would stay here again for sure.
