This fantastic hotel is set in the middle of nature. If you like seeing and hearing birds, then this place is great, with over 25 species in 1 night stay. The room was large, the linens were high quality, and it was all very clean. We had a kettle for making coffee, good AC, and fan. We had a room with a great view over the garden towards the lake. The owner, Chandana, was very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is very well decorated and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting to watch the wildlife at sunset on the bench provided. The garden is also a haven for wildlife and has a lot of interesting trees. He provided us with the best Sri Lankan breakfast we have had in a month. It was outstanding, with some of it made by his wife. Him and his staff member were very kind to help us change the wheel on our tuktuk, too. A wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a halfway point between Kandy and Negombo

Beautiful house and grounds. We were the only guests and the hotel really feels more like a private home. The staff set up tables in different parts of the garden at different times of day - lovely shady breakfast under the mangosteen tree, which a staff member nipped up to pick us the fruit! All the rooms are beautiful and spacious, the hotel has lots of nice places to sit with a drink or a book. Lovely pool. Delicious food. Filtered water on tap. Kind and thoughtful staff. Perfectly placed in quiet surroundings just outside Kandy, but easy to get in and out by tuktuk or car.

Absolutely everything. From The moment we arrived , not only was the hotel itself comfortable, clean, excellently fitted out, location just perfect (easy short tuktuk ride to center city) but the management & staff went out of their way to be attentive and helpful. It was a lovely modern property with spacious rooms and a nice clean pool. In the rooms, there was a both a fan and air conditioning. Downstairs, there was a lounge area and dining area which was very welcoming. The breakfast was great, a variety of fruits, eggs, and toast. The hosts were very welcoming, they were happy to provide a freshly cooked delicious dinner as there wasn’t a huge selection in town.

Getting there by private car was a challenge, google maps is simply not accurate. Best way is to contact resort before. The team is outstanding, booked only a day before and they managed to make us feel at home. Will come back for sure
