The hotel was very nice and the service was exceptional. Since it was nearing Christmas and they didnt have staff for the kitchen and hence no vegetarian dishes on the menu, we ordered food from outside but the staff was so nice that they let us use their cutlery and plates and we even got a drink or two on the house. A truely wonderful experience.

We booked this hotel at the last minute from a Lidl car park in Switzerland as I had to use their WIFi because my data wouldn't work for Switzerland 😉. We managed to get there on time, and it was quite nicely placed for visiting the Rhine Falls, so long as you have a car that is. The rooms were very comfortable and it was nice that they had tea/coffee making facilities in the room too. Despite being near the road, the road noise definitely wasn't an issue as it was quiet at night. The breakfast was amazing, a nice choice. We initially only booked for one night, but liked it so much we booked another.

Hotel Rheingold is located in Gailingen. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a seating area.
