Amazing place to stay. Allowed me to check in early which meant I could go hiking on my first day with ease! Helped with the Appenzell Travel Card. Such helpful staff, great recommendations for dinner in their sister hotel for traditional food. Excellent breakfast with really good gluten free options.

Lovely Hotel with even lovelier staff and a great hardworking group of people who work the restaurant. Very close to the railway which takes you on a direct line to Appenzel or Wasserauen for your favorite hikes.. The Breakfast Buffet was great! Currently undergoing a renovation so the rooms will be even better in the future! Would definitely come back here again!

The staff is amazing! It’s run by a family and they are all so nice! It’s like being at home. Really nice and friendly and very accommodating. And the food is really nice! Small menu but delicious
