It was very luxurious, with lots of space! It was relatively easy to check in, and the staff were extremely helpful. The accommodation is mainly self-catering with lots of restaurants surrounding the area.

Our family unit was beautiful, with two separate bedrooms, each with a private bathroom—perfect for comfort and privacy. The modern yet authentic decor added to the charm. We loved our private garden and pool, and the best part was being right on the fence bordering the bush. From our camp, we spotted a cheetah, giraffe, wildebeest, jackal, and kudu—an incredible experience!

A vegetarian option can also be requested. Just about an hour and a half away from Johannesburg, we had a wonderful stay at Out of Africa. My Wife and I visited this lodge for our 5 year anniversary. If you book in advance, you can enjoy a fine dining experience on a Rovos Rail train carriage that's on the property. The hosts Monique and Ludger went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Would recommend this lodge if you want to escape the busy city life for a nice and relaxing holiday.
