I liked that there was quiet and nearby the forest. The house looks small from outside, but it's big inside. Rooms were clean and fresh looking. And of course the host is nice, polite and good communicator.

Situated in Järvsö Village, by the River Ljusnan, this family-run hotel offers regional cuisine, a large garden and a 9-hole golf course. The dinner was lovely, we had to have something else than the fish sadly (two pregnant ladies and one with allergies) but they fixed it quick and easy and gave us great steak instead! The spa and all help from staff with drinks and anything we asked for was amazing. We got to play in the gazebo with living lights late into the evening and couldn’t have been happier. Breakfast buffet was also great!

Högbo Brukshotell & Spa is situated in a former ironworks area in the village of Högbo, 700 metres from Högbo Golf Club. It offers free WiFi. Guests can enjoy a range of outdoor activities. I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic – a great variety, fresh ingredients, and something for everyone. What really made the stay special, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly courteous and welcoming, making us feel right at home. A special thank you to one of the staff members (I guess it was Paivi) driven us to the customer office as there was no Taxi available. Thanks to their quick and thoughtful assistance, we were able to get to our customer meeting on time – which made all the difference. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be back!

Only 150 metres from Gävle’s main square, Stortorget, this central hotell offers free WiFi and rooms with flat-screen TVs with satellite channels. Gävle Central Station is 10 minutes’ walk away. The friendly receptionist made us feel as if we were being welcomed into her home.
