I loved every minute of my stay at Hasthi’s safari cottage! The room was beautiful, the outdoor bathroom is so peaceful and Mum’s cooking was amazing!!!! I felt really well looked after, the staff always checking to make sure I was happy and even a delicious aloe Vera drink on arrival. My host even gave me directions to get to Ella on the bus and came to make sure I found the bus stop ok- this was so lovely! My safari trip was organised for me and they thoughtfully gave me snacks to take with for the early start. I really recommend booking your stay here! Thank you Hasthi, Family and staff!

Offering a barbecue and views of the garden, green view safari resort is located 8 km from Udawalawe National Park. The bungalow was very clean, the dinner and breakfast excellent and tasty. Great value for money and they arranged us a nice safari in a comfortable jeep. They also kindly offered us a bottle of water at each meal which is very rare for Sri Lanka. I highly recommand this resort for your Safari

If you are debating about where to stay near Udawalawe, no doubt, book here. They are recently opened so limited reviews but it’s a charming safari bungalow, the only one on the property, with a beautiful garden and thoughtful dining area for guests. Speaking of dining, this will be the best, most prolific food you’ve had in Sri Lanka. They really thoughtfully accommodated my vegetarian and gluten free diet with ease. There is a lovely river near the property you can explore and enjoy reading and relaxing between safari journeys and be well taken care of. They coordinated our safari, which was incredible! So many up close elephant encounters!, and helped us with transportation to them and away, making the whole experience care free and enjoyable. If you can enjoy a rustic safari cabin experience (well, not so rustic because there is a/c 😆) while being cared for by the sweetest family then look no further and enjoy Green Paradise.

Absolutely spotless property with the most amazing staff and food! The Sri Lankan curry and Sri Lankan breakfast were incredible and the portion sizes were huge. The added extras were a bonus such as the complimentary 10 minute massage, the welcome drink, afternoon tea and mocktail with dinner. The location was perfect for safari. The staff were so accommodating and friendly!! The attention to detail at this hotel was fabulous, we could not understand how they manage to keep everything so clean and pristine but they do. We both agreed that this is one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had!!

Menawarkan taman, teres dan pemandangan bandar, City Elephant Family Resort terletak di Udawalawe, 16km dari Taman Negara Udawalawe. Bilik-bilik dilengkapi dengan balkoni. City Elephant is ideally situated for getting to the park, right on the main drag through town. The owners are super friendly. My room was large with a good bed and good AC. The restaurant out by the street looks unassuming, but DO eat there...these guys cook beautifully. I had a rice/curry lunch that was just lovely.
