Classic charming pension with the most friendly owners! The private onsen across the street is incredible, I had it to myself every night, and there is an option for breakfast. The room was perfect for two of us, and Papa was so kind to drive us to and from the Myokokogen station and the mountains, and also on some errands which was so kind. It feels like you are stepping into a place that can’t be created, a piece of personality.

Next door to Akakura Kanko Ski Resort, Akakura Kanko Hotel boasts a golf course, a tennis court and a spa centre. Location was fabulous, views were stunning. Easy hotel shuttle ride to/from Myokokogen station. Lovely free drinks at happy hour(s) every afternoon. Wonderful indoor and outdoor hot spring baths. It was an amazing hotel close to Niigata station and there are buses just a few steps from Hotel Staff were amazing and kind Room was very big we stayed 7 days first time and then returned back to hotel after visiting Sado island but second time they gave us a tiny room and bathroom was dirty BUT they corrected it and gave us another room which was clean thank you

The staff was VERY helpful in arranging transportation during a fully booked weekend on Sado Island. Goint the extra mile to follow up and get us a spot on an already fully booked bus back from the festival. Nice breakfast buffet, offering a mix of western and Japanese foods. And a bit better than normal expectations for a businessman hotel. Bed was up off the floor for us old folks.

Everything was exceptional the room was stunning, facilities great, not to mention the skiing. Included breakfast had everything you could possibly want, catering to all tastes :-)

This place is heaven. Absolutely beautiful, amazing location, great people . I travelled together with my 3yrs old son and everything was just perfect. We planned to stay 3 nights but eventually stayed 7. The owner and the staff were amazing. They really made us feel like we are among friends and family. Thank you for that. I hope it was not our last time in Sado and this beautiful place.

Hotel Yuzawa Yuzawa Denkiya provides free shuttle service to Echigo Yuzawa Station, a 5-minute drive away. It offers Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. The shuttle bus service was amazing. The ski pass lottery was great - we saved some money there! Easy and safe to store ski gear and dry the skiwear overnight.
