I slept so well in the room as it is very quiet. If you love Thai massage this hotel will be a plus as they have a Thai spa. Restaurants provide both Japanese & Thai food (and very good). Lounge areas are great comfortable and spacious work areas for meetings. Most of the hotel staff speak English so it was very easy to communicate our needs.

Bathrooms were incredible cleaned and well spaced out. The feel of the hotel was peaceful and very zen like. The location is ideal as you are very close to Kyoto station.

The Thousand Kyoto features air-conditioned rooms with satellite flat-screen TV in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto. The hotel is very conveniently located right next to the train station and very quiet. We had a slightly bigger room, which came in handy as we were staying for a week and carrying a lot of luggage. The staff are extremely friendly, but tend to be that delightful Japanese complicatedness. We always chose the Japanese breakfast, which is in a separate restaurant on the second floor. A lovely hotel, perfect location by the train station. This was our third visit and I would stay here again and again.
