Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. Beautiful views. Loved the drive to get there. Sauna was wonderful. Just a pity about the cloudy weather. Can't control that so made the most of it in the outdoor hot pool.

Liked everything about this place! The authentic vibe, staff’s kindness, dinner, sauna, museum, amazing views, northern lights, beautiful drive to the location. I wish I could stay there longer than one night.

Beautifully located in a forest area by Lake Lagarfljot, 25 km south of Egilsstadir, is the Hotel Hallormsstadur, close to hiking trails and various recreational opportunities. We could not say enough about how great our stay was at this hotel. the staff was extremely accommodating, the food in the restaurant was superior, and the location beautiful and the amenities top notch.

Situated in the coastal village of Breiddalsvík, Hotel Breiddalsvik offers a large terrace with an open fireplace and rooms with a satellite TV and work desk. Good place to relax and take a break from a long drive. Staff are extremely nice, free parking, good wifi, and a simple breakfast.
