We traveled for work with my colleague. This hotel was an absolute pleasure and gift to stay at. We loved everything about this place: the location (accessible by car), the views, very sweet and friendly people working there, very relaxed feeling we had at this hotel and local wine!

Gasthof is located close to A9 motorway, 1 to 1,5 hour from Munich. I was there to visit IFAT exhibition. I arrived 1,5 hours after check-in time. The owner waited for me with the keys. Any problems. Typical tasty German breakfast, fresch products and milk was so good that I was drinking almost one litre every morning. I suspect that it was from local farmer. I stopped for two nights. 188 euro compering to 1000 euro in Munich during Messe, nothing to discuss. Even if the owners don't speak English, always Google translator can help😃. The room was big, clean and comfortable. Next time if I travel nearby for sure I will stop here. Thanks to the owners for great hospitality. 👍

Overlooking the historic town of Eichstätt, this hotel offers free WiFi and a spa with a panoramic indoor pool, an infinity outdoor pool and a varied sauna area. We had a larger room with a balcony. There was an amazing view over the valley that was just beautiful every morning. We also had the breakfast included, which was definitely worth having both for its quality and for the fact that eating somewhere else would have been a hassle. The hotel had two pools, one indoor and the other outdoor. There were also a lot of different kinds of saunas. All had good views of the valley. There was also a relaxation room that was quite comfortable and quiet. They provided robes and slippers, but I recommend packing your own because they weren't the best quality. You could also book massages, but we didn't do this. We did order room service for drinks once, which was quick enough. There was a decent amount of parking, which is absolutely necessary. The nearby town of Eichstatt was really cute, and Ingolstadt was not too far away by car. We enjoyed visiting both during the day.

This family-run, 3-star hotel in the village of Schambach lies in the heart of the Altmühltal Nature Park. It features a bathing pond and free use of wellness facilities. Staff was friendly, hotel and rooms were clean. The bed was comfortable. Very quiet (people and surroundings).

Situated in Wettelsheim, a small village set in the Altmühltal Nature Park, this hotel offers spacious, bright rooms and the use of its own health facilities. Breakfast was ok. Not bad, not great. Dinner was excellent.
