Jaguar Reef Lodge & Spa is located right on Belize’s beautiful coral reef in Hopkins. It offers quick beach access, plus 2 outdoor swimming pools and an on-site restaurant. Hotel staff were all very friendly. Hotel and grounds were meticulously clean. The food at the restaurant was wonderful (particularly the breakfasts!). Great location in near a very cute town with extremely friendly local residents and near a dive shop. Loved the over-the-water ceviche restaurant!

Best hotel in Belize! Wonderful brand new property, luxurious in every single detail and perfectly located on a pristine beach. We stayed at one of their ocean front villas and it was heavenly! Huge bedroom and huge bathroom, beautiful balcony with view of the ocean, private pool on the beach right in front of the sea. Kayak, paddle boards and bikes at our disposal. Lush! Decor is impeccable and mattress and pillow super comfortable. Staff and service are what you’d expect from a 5 stars hotel and more! They also rent golf buggies and can help you book any kind of tour. Restaurant is also upscale with a fantastic view of the ocean and food is delicious. We are so happy to have found this gem. We would only come here when back in Belize 🩷

It was a much-needed pause, and the kindness of the team—from the thoughtful room upgrade to the carefully curated touches throughout our property and stay—made it feel truly special. Our beachfront villa with a private pool, the warm hospitality, world class wellness spa, and delicious cuisine created a restorative experience we’ll always remember. A heartfelt thank-you to the wonderful team at Prana Maya for making our stay so memorable. If your travels bring you to Placencia and you’re looking for a peaceful, luxury retreat, this newly opened resort is a lovely option to consider.

Olivia and Fabio were fabulous hosts for my three-night visit to their K’in Resort Lodge. In fact, the stay was my most positive experience of the nine nights on my trip to Central America. I hadn’t been to Belize before, and didn’t know what to expect in renting a bungalow on the Placencia Peninsula. What I found and got was a spotlessly clean room and bathroom, a wonderful bed, great pillows, modern air conditioning, a terrific shower with hot water I didn’t need to wait for, fast WiFi, a nice ceiling fan, mood lighting, a secure entrance and outside seating area, and even a refrigerator with a pitcher of cold water and a bottle of beer within. On each of the three mornings, Olivia brought me a frothy cappuccino, fresh-squeezed passion fruit juice, and a breakfast treat, also and gave me some company to make me feel at home. The last evening, we actually all shared a dinner, beer, wine, and rum together on one of their outside pavillions— just like we were family members breaking bread as a group. In all, I not only had a good rental adventure, but also made new friends, even getting to meet all three of their beautiful children. They even offered to drop me off at the Placencia Airport when it looked like my arranged ride might not materialize. If you like nature, want comfort, are up for meeting the people who run the establishment, AND don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for it, this is your place!

The breakfast was made to order every morning and very tasty. We had two early morning excursions and they brought breakfast to our room early before we left.

It is a beautiful hotel, very clean and comfortable, with an amazing view. The Staff is amazing!! Always with a smile, super friendly, and made sure we were always comfortable.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Naïa Resort and Spa offers accommodation in Placencia Village. Amazing facilities. Exceptional staff. Great food. Great shuttle service. I would live there if I could! Loved the extra towels that were always provided!

With a restaurant and a pristine beach area, Thatch Caye Resort is located on a private island in Dangriga. This incredible resort offers guests on-site dive facilities and kayaks to explore the area.... This place really exceeded expectations. The location was fantastic. Food was excellent. The best thing was the staff. They were absolutely the best. I can’t say enough good things about everyone I encountered.

Almond Beach Resort has a private beach area, secured by a barrier reef and ideal for swimming and surfing. The property has free Wi-Fi, spa facilities and an outdoor swimming pool. This was such a piece of paradise. We loved our stay here. Ceviche is amazing! Breakfast was also 👌

Nestled along the Placencia Peninsula in southern Belize, Laru Beya Resort offers a serene escape near Seine Bight, a Garifuna village. Nelsey and Jordy in the restaurant were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They were simply wonderful as was the food, views and overall stay.
