Our experience is 10/10 we enjoyed every minute. A beautiful property!! Amazing staff was delivering outstanding service from early morning to last guest closed there door for the night. The restaurant and bar delivered excellent food and drinks with a high level knowledge and service. My husband and I opted for a location in Zanzibar that would make us feel like we’re in our own little paradise and that’s just what we got at Mchaichai villa. We loved that we could choose to not have house keepers on a daily, this made us feel more relaxed and unbothered throughout our holiday. The stunning pool right in front of our villa was really nice, we couldn’t resist to swim under the stars in total silence surrounded by nature. It almost felt like we’re on a wellness retreat. I think Kiwengwa beach should be considered the most peaceful because on all our walks we were not bothered by beach boys like some of the beaches we visited around Zanzibar, this made us enjoy our routine beach walks. From reservations to check out everything was perfect so we can’t wait to return and experience here again.

Breakfast was fine, in general "western" type food the view was great. As an added bonus the local chef prepared off the menu food as did the Sri Lankan chef which was fantastic, most enjoyable.

The hotel staff is very welcoming, specifically Mr Erick, and the man who wears traditional zanzbar clothes was very welcoming .The staff in all kitchens are clean and smiling to the guests and jokes with us which makes our stay more fun 😁 The housekeepers are clean and nice .

Staying is this hotel was beautiful experience - hotel is located at the very end of beach and gives an escape from bysy Kiwengwa beach. You can relax at hotel and have some fun at the beach - best of both. Infinity pool and view from it was best feature - no other hotel in Zanzibar has view like Shooting Star. Breakfast was good, staff was very welcoming and helpful. If you want peaceful stay, beautiful views and still be close to activities and local restaurants - this is the best hotel. One additional recommendation - when staying at this hotel - have dinner/lunch at Amour restaurant nearby - you will not regret it.
