Rarely does a place measure up to its pictures, marketing etc. La Donaira exceeded all of those. It can only be described as heaven on earth. We had just finished hosting guests for a week and needed a break for ourselves. We wanted something quiet, good food, good service. We found this online, randomly, and did not know what to expect. But as we did the beautiful drive in from the village, we felt our heart rates drop and our spirits rise. From the greeting when we arrived to the morning we left, we encountered staff who were not only warm, welcoming and a pleasure to deal with, but also felt genuinely so. I think they are very proud of what they built and want to share it. It is not an inexpensive holiday to be sure, but the facilities, food and service lived up to it. We felt at home and enjoyed every, every minute. We plan to find a way to make this an annual holiday. I want to specially thank all of the staff, who were so wonderful and welcoming. You are a treasure.

Idyllic location five minutes walk from the station so a great base for exploring the area and walking trails. Comfiest bed I've ever slept in away from home, accommodation equipped with everything you can think of including makeup remover lotion and pads and a pool that can be enjoyed all year round thanks to its winter cover! Best of all was the hospitality - Ana was a fantastic hostess, catering to our every wish! We hope to return.
