It was a magical experience be so close to everything. Love to have the whole house for us. The owner welcomed us and helped us to go around.

Terletak di lokasi yang mudah di daerah Hirayu Onsen bagi Takayama, Yunohirakan terletak 38km dari Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village, 47km dari Muzium Jepun Ukiyo-e dan 49km dari Stesen Matsumoto. We felt right at home in Yunohirakan. The rooms were comfortable, and the very quiet location as well as the height allowed us to sleep comfortably with the windows open. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And we especially loved the evening meals which were delicious!

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. Absolutely LOVED our time at Mozumo. The facilities are beautiful and the staff was incredible. The level of hospitality we received was on another level. The private onsen was also a highlight of our stay. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast experience so much, the lady who served us was knowledgeable about every dish and answered all our questions, she was so warm and lovely (I wish we had caught her name!) Would recommend 100% for anyone looking for a unique ryokan experience in a beautiful environment.

All the staff were cheerful, polite, and genuinely welcoming. Both dinner and breakfast were thoughtfully prepared, with a wide variety of dishes and excellent taste. You really shouldn’t eat too much beforehand, as the dinner here is plentiful and delicious. The location is great for those planning to visit Kamikochi — it’s just a short walk from the bus station to the ryokan. It’s a perfect place to relax and recover after exploring Kamikochi. Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of me and my family.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. Auberge Hidanomori is one of the gems of Takayama. It is a fantastic property, with beautiful rooms and 2 private onsens. Very friendly/helpful staff, and the meals were some of the best we had in Japan. Fantastic pairings!
