Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. If I could give 100 stars to this ryokan, I would do it! It was absolutely stunning experience in Nagano, the whole family and staff are extremely friendly, kind and polite. They receive lots of international travelers and they understand tourists needs. You MUST book dinners and breakfasts with them! It was amazing experience! On a practical note: rooms were authentic, hot water, heater were reliable. Location is superb, close to the temple and delicious snacks. This place is ideal for alternative travelers interested in local tradition and with the appreciation for culture and history: I wish the owners only the best customers!

I’ve been staying at Urasa Cottage for a couple of days, and I must say I truly felt at home. The host is very friendly, and the house is quite new and clean. It’s also not too far from the station. Terletak di Hakuba, 16km dari Kawasan Ski Tsugaike Kogen, 白馬の黒馬 DarkHorse @Hakuba mempunyai penginapan dengan taman, tempat parking peribadi percuma, lounge berkongsi dan bar. Fantastic hosts, so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. They literally drove us to the slopes every day and picked us up. They even drove us to Nagano to catch the train back to Tokyo at the end of our stay. The accommodation has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard and is super modern. To get the best from this property, get stuck in and meet the other guests, it's such a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Noise levels drop by 10pm to ensure a peaceful night sleep and the breakfast/ food it's awesome. Thanks for the fabulous welcome to all the staff at Dark Horse.

The Nomad Inn Gujo terletak di daerah Gujo Hachiman bagi Gujo, 46km dari Gero Station, 1-minit berjalan kaki dari Rensho-ji Temple dan 100m dari Joinji Temple. The house is in the historic center, in an beautiful street next to the river. Masa, the host, was super kind and helpful. We had a great time in Gujo, I totally recommend it
