I didn't want to argue because they did not know English and there was Storm passing in that area at that moment. Not sure if it is Booking.com problem or theirs. I would be cautious of future booking with Booking.com

There is a free cocktail for those who staying. They used a QR code to get into the hostel and room, which was new to me and interesting. It is close to food places. The owners were lovely and helpful. I just loved the vibe of the Kaoh Siung port city. I would definitely stay here again!

A Touch of Zen mempunyai taman, ruang tamu berkongsi, teres dan bar di Kaohsiung. A Touch of Zen is a fantastic place to stay in Kaohsiung. It was our first time in Taiwan and neither my partner nor I speak Mandarin so it was especially helpful that the hosts are fluent in English. They provided maps and answered questions about things to do in Kaohsiung (which there's a ton - it's a great place to visit). The guesthouse is conveniently located within walking distance of the Lotus Pond and the surrounding temples - a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride or taxi to the High Speed rail station (which of course gets you easily to Kaohsiung from Taipei). If you love film A Touch of Zen is a special treat because the tasteful Japanese decor (the building is a former naval home - traditional Japanese construction) includes some fun film props - and the chance to watch something on Netflix projected in the common area. While we were there the hosts kindly set up a movie for us to watch. The area of the guesthouse itself is great to walk around with wonderful places to eat close by. The beds are comfy with tea and water at your disposal. All around a wonderful place to stay.
