The shady patio behind the house has comfortable seating and lovely plantings. Every detail has been carefully planned. The hosts, especially Ines, are extremely helpful and hospitable; they even went to Carrefour to buy beer for me! The location is excellent. The Medina is not far and there are several good restaurants, cafes and shops all within a couple of minutes walk.

Breakfast was the best I have ever had. Rooms were nice and clean, the best linen and comfortable beds in Tunisia. Rooftop was nice, we enojoyed reading there. I would have wanted to stay longer in Dar Maya. I am really thankful for everything they had prepared.

The hosts were lovely people. They were very friendly and flexible. We initially booked one night but love it so much, that we decided to extend our stay. The villa is beautiful and cosy. It has a pool, fruit trees, washing machine, BBQ place, etc. The host even gave us a private tour of the date factory next door that they own! Location is safe, quiet and practical if you have your own car. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

He can recommend a tour company that is slightly cheaper than others in the area (very helpful for a solo backpacker) Also he is very helpful when it comes to navigating the louages departure times; which can be challenging when you only speak English. I wish I had just bypassed Douz and spent the extra time in Tozeur. The countryside is beautiful! Thank you for everything.
