It is definitely not a yurt and more of a cottage, but as attractive as the pictures show. When the big doors open, the picture windows look at the mountains. The construction uses natural shape of wood. All the facilities are new, modern, and quite clean. Our hostess picked us up from the train station and gave us a quick tour of town before dropping us off and making sure we knew how everything worked. She left us some gorgeous pastries. Communication prior to arrival and after was excellent. It was pouring rain on the morning of our departure and we were provided a ride to the station! Exceptional accommodations and service.

This apartment is lovely , so clean and everything you could possibly want for your stay , kitchen has all you need if you want to cook and there are plenty of places to eat nearby! The host is so friendly and helped us choose somewhere dinner ( he has a great list showing what type of cuisine and location from the accommodation) highly recommended 😀

Should be quiet after 9 pm. Highly recommended to everyone, especially groups with kids.

Women only B&B KegonFalls, a property with free bikes and a shared lounge, is set in Nikko, 15 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, 16 km from Tobu Nikko Station, as well as 17 km from Nikko Station. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The property is non-smoking and is situated 200 metres from Kegon Falls. My stay in kegon falls b&b is a standout experience in my trip to Japan! The owner was so accommodating and kind, doing everything in his ability to make our experience as good as it possibly could be. I'm a solo female traveler and he made me feel very safe, the female only area was very comfortable. Vegans and vegetarian travellers fear not!!! The breakfasts have vegan and vego safe options which is so rare in Japan, let alone in Oku-nikko! All food is halal ❤️ There is a prayer room also, which I haven't seen in any other hostel! Like I said, super accommodating. It's a cosy place with traditional tatami flooring in the rooms but modern, very comfy bedding. Heaters are available if requested, which my roommate did and the owner went to impossible lengths to make sure we had the best possible heater for the night!  The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, and in general about most things! He has traveled most of the world and speaks very well in English, German and Espanol. (And of course japanese!) A bike is available to borrow to make getting around easier, and brochures with maps are also available to borrow. And, if you're ever in need of an awe-inspiring story, ask the host about his amazing travels! The items that decorate the downstairs area are tokens of his worldwide adventures. Please dont make the mistake of going anywhere else. Also!!! If you like sweet potato, this is the place for you!!! I can't stress enough how I had such a sweet potato craving the morning before arriving here, and it worked out PERFECTLY! To the owner, thank you so much for a wonderful stay, I'm very excited to tell my friends and family back home all about it! Thank you!
