Was in Japan for 5 weeks and this was the best place we stayed the entire trip. Only 2 nights but wish it was for longer. Very comfortable beds, super spacious room and a kitchen with washing machine and drier which was epic to have after traveling awhile. Beds were very comfortable! Also free parking on premises right behind the building and super close to attractions. Highly recommend as it's such a good value!

An excellent option for a group - very spacious with all the important elements provided. The room was huge, and we even had a dining space, a Japanese tatami room, a kitchen, and a very spacious bathroom. I'd always choose this place for its family-friendly design, a great location for Kanazawa station, as well as a pleasant stroll to other central places in Kanazawa.

Excellent location in quiet neighbourhood, a real Kanazawa neighbourhood. It truly was a short walk to major sites. The tourist bus service in Kanazawa from train station dropped off us off close to the apartment. We liked using the washing machine and the quick drying room. Also very large shower/bath room and nice little kitchen with lots of dishes. The tatami mat area with futons and small table was a hit with the grandkids. (who knew they had to be quiet due to it being a quiet home) We felt that after being greeted by a "hostess" at the main door at the agreed upon time, that we were in good hands in case we needed to contact them for anything.... which we did not...

Wow, this place is truly amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay in Kanazawa perfect. First, the location is in the historic Higashi Chaya District, allowing you to stay in an area with incredible character and beauty. It is within walking distance to other famous sites in the city including Kanazawa Castle, Kenroku-en, and Omicho Market. The facilities are amazing--beautifully maintained and restored, with both historic character and modern amenities. We truly appreciated the fact that a washer/dryer combo was in the room and there was washing detergent available as well. The very modern bathroom made us feel like we were at a spa. I loved the fact that the sleeping area was partitioned off from the dining room/kitchenette area. The futon beds were sooooo comfortable. The kitchenette area was well stocked with supplies including a microwave and induction stove for those who wanted to make something themselves. The morning breakfast was also phenomenal and probably the biggest surprise of our stay. It was absolutely delicious and one of our favorite meals during the trip. We loved the pastries and even took a detour in our site seeing day to visit the bakery they came from as we were so impressed with pastries served during breakfast. But what really sets Utaimachi apart was the INCREDIBLE staff. From check in to check out, each team member went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay and were comfortable. They gave us wonderful advice for getting around the city and helped us ship our luggage to our next hotel location. They truly went above and beyond to make our journey to and from Kanazawa smooth and stress free. Thank you so much Utaimachi for a wonderful stay and for all of your generous hospitality!

So many things we appreciated: The smart bath which fills up by the touch of a button and talks The bath salts to go with said bath The yukata to relax after said bath or sleep in Washing machine, detergent and dry rack The freshener spray The battery powered light to put by the bed so you don't have to walk to the bed in darkness The electric blankets and many ways of heating the rooms The 'bath towels' in packets to use in the bath/shower, these were really great to clean ourselves with The shoe horn and stand The drip coffee packets
