Beach area was nice to sit and relax. We had everything we needed in our room. Pool was nice place to end our days and visit with others. Plenty of towels for pool or beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good everyday and so nice to have it brought to our sitting area.

Chiara and Ray are lovely hosts: we really enjoyed chatting with them and they were always very helpful. We rented the local bikes for the day and it was such a nice activity to explore the area. This was our favorite stay in Costa Rica and would recommend it to anyone passing by Puerto Viejo. It's located a bit further out from the center, next to Playa Negra, which for us was a plus. You can enjoy the quiet and beautiful nature there. It's totally safe and not so crowded like the center. The guesthouse is clean, very nicely furnished and looked after. We had an amazing stay at the Dragonfly. we loved the calm space, watching birds and animals pass by, spending time on the beach. The villa was smallish but had everything we needed and was comfortable. Shops and local attractions were all no more than 15 minutes away. Anya the manageress was always on hand to help.
