I've been to quite a few self catering places this year and nothing compares to River Edge. The finer details, like arriving and the hot tub is already warm, welcome gin and tonic with a lemon, enough towels for bathing and swimming. Air fryer. Fire lighters, filter coffee.... to name a few It was the best office to work at during our mid week stay. Will recommend to families and couples

Amazing view across the valley and wonderfully appointed property with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Communications were good and we really enjoyed the large lasagne and salad we had asked for on our arrival. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning at the restaurant across the road.

We loved meeting Shane! He was so generous and kind. Our little cabin was beautifully situated at the base of the mountains. We watched the sun set over the dam and the moon rise over the mountains. The cabin was very nice and cozy. The property is a little piece if paradise!

We had a fantastic anniversary weekend! It was such a joy and we would definitely return for another stay. The host thought about everything that you need for self catering, there is even an airfryer! It was so clean and smelled so good that I wanted to have the scent at home, bought me some vanilla reed diffusers. The bed, omw.... So soft and comfortable... Even the sheets were something that I have never felt.. I know this is a long review but they deserve it! Lastly is the hot tub! We spent every night in it, such an enjoyable experience! You need to start heating it up a few hours before you get in but that was not a problem,once it gets to temp you need to slow down😂

Air-conditioning was an incredible bonus in the Ceres summer heat. Large bed was fantastic. Loved the fixtures and layout, garden was pretty. The little lindt chocolates and can of JC Le Roux was a nice little surprise to arrive to! Especially since we were staying for our anniversary.

    The location was incredibly beautiful, from the snow capped mountain peaks to the river flowing on your doorstep and the fynbos through the kitchen window, you couldn’t ask for more. The beds were comfortable and for being completely off grid, we weren’t left wanting or needing anything more. We also enjoyed a craft gin tasting at Monks Distillery which was a 2km walk along the path.

    Amazing accommodation on a working wine and fruit farm. The view from the patio is breathtaking and the place is quiet and peaceful. The unit has everything required for a holiday stay with a fully equipped kitchen and indoor and outdoor fireplaces. The walking trails on the property are a great way to see the farm and get some exercise. There is plenty to do in the area with restaurants and wine tasting close by.

    For self catering house it had all the facilities and utensils for cooking, cleaning as needed. Even a little gas stove for those times with Loadshedding. The place smelled amazing and well cleaned, they thought of everything to make ones stay hustle free. The views of the mountains and surrounding nature, were so amazing and boasted in its beauty, even for the winter time.
