The location was simply stunning. The place was very clean and had everything we could need and more. It was spacious enough for the short stay we had. I had not realised when booking that it was not on the beach itself, as I did believe it was walking distance to the beach. However it was just a short 7min drive to the absolutely stunning Fintra beach that we spent time on. I would highly recommend this cute place with so many beautiful walks around. The views are breath taking.

Since we forgot to write a note on the "visitors' book", here we go: among all the places we have bene staying to during our holidays in Ireland, this was surely the best as It made us feel at home. Clean, cosy, with a stunning view over the bay and an incredible care for those little details that eventually can make all the difference and speak about two hosts that really care about their guests. Brigitte and Adrien welcomed us warmely, suggesting us the hidden gems of their surrounding and waking us up with the sweetest of all breakfasts. We loved our stay at River View. Kristina and her family couldn't have been more welcoming. It was a last minute booking and everything was ready to go when we arrived. The house itself is brand new, with everything you need - modern, fitted out kitchen, lovely shower and beautiful views. We were only staying for one night but it would make a great base for a few days exploring the area. The house is an easy 10 minute walk from Kilcar village which has everything you need. Kristina was even kind enough to offer us a lift down to the town. This was great value for such warm hospitality in a great location. I would definitely recommend staying on a Tuesday evening to catch the trad session in John Joe's Bar, if you're looking for genuine Traditional Irish Music, this is it.

It was really nice and quiet. You have a great view to the sea. Sometimes you can see dolphins swimming nearby. We unfortunately haven’t seen some. The house is very well equipped. In the kitchen you can find everything you need. Even as it is self catering there was butter, milk and jam in the fridge. There is no oven in the hose, but a double air frier. Nearby the Haus is a beautiful place wis some cliffs, where you can sit an look for the waves or seabirds.
