Location was good as we were on a road trip to Geiranger. It provided a good stopover for us to rest and have our own cooked dinner. Everything was clean and there were clear instructions on what to do during check in and check out. We loved that there was the washing machine and dryer for us to wash our clothes.

We carefully planned our Norway trip and Laerdalsoyri was excellent choice to stop after drivnig the scenic road by Stegastein and before another amazing road to Gol the next day. Would recomend it to all travelers.

It's a really old hotel, kept very well, surrounded by many other very old houses, which people actually live in or use as summer houses. The whole vibe was so different from rest of Norway. It felt like we were in another country. Its a tiny little town and worth observing is that it had no parking meters :) Beautiful small local shops. Surrounded by mountains. Beautiful little beach if you walk up to the fjord. A town that love Porsches :D

The whole building was beautifully arranged with history and perfect pieces of furniture. Lovely. The bathroom was a little difficult due to age, but that was part of the beauty! The room was so clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and happy. The property has a newer modern hotel and looks like three or more historic buildings. They have steps only, but hardwood floors and complete character and beauty!

Just two steps from Lærdalstunnel 24,5km driving through, and you will come to the other side of the fjords in Aurland.
