Staying here is like staying with family, but the kind of family that you're excited to see and reluctant to leave. The setting, the vibe, the everything was just perfect! I cannot recommend enough the need to stay here. And if you don't want to stay but are in the area you HAVE TO eat here! Victoria is an amazing chef and deserves more people to know how great she is!

Very clean, tidy and well thought out. Lots of small touches like plenty of mirrors, thick blankets, comfy beds, milk in the fridge, a good variety of tea bags, well stocked kitchen, and even a little Christmas tree... especially liked the walk in closet with a light

A superb apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, cosy lounge, excellent shower and supremely comfortable bed. Situated in a pleasant area, close to most amenities with easy access to the surrounding beautiful wetland walks. Amazing hosts, thank you Delia and Malcolm for the welcome pack of essential food items, the kind offer of a lift to the bus/train station and the delicious freshly baked cake!

The hosts are two of the most welcoming and considerate people we have ever stayed with. We loved the attention to detail and the sauna, ‘pamper packages’ and quality of the food were amazing. We never given a ‘10’ review before, but this deserves an ‘11’!

Newton Abbot is a nice little town, with a decent array of shops. If you have little ones, you must go to iTown as it's a great place for toddlers and Primary School kids. The walk along the river and the Hackney Marshes are fantastic and the racecourse looks to be well maintained.

A lovely small town which is ideally located to explore both Dartmoor and the many attractions of South Devon. There are a good range of places to eat. For me, the highlight was the superb food and service at The Eastern Eye.

We didnt actually visit Newton Abbot itself, but the area is great for exploring Dartmoor, the East Devon coast and visiting Exeter. Wonderful food at The Cridford Inn in Trusham, Home Farm Cafe on the Parke Estate, The Ridge Cafe, Haldon Forest Park, The Cafe on The Green at Widecombe in the Moor and The Thatched Tavern at Maidencombe. All of these eateries can include great walks and are dog friendly.

Newton Abbott is a railway town, so a great place for getting to other places. It is worth exploring in it's own right, the bell tower and town museum are worth a visit. There are plentiful shops and cafes. Hackney Marshes, next to the racecourse are are pleasant walk.
Fabulous property, Sally & Steve were both very welcoming, apartment 18 was in a very good location both for Newton Abbott and for further afield. I had broken my foot shortly before the trip and Sally and Steve kindly helped with our luggage. There is also a lift for anyone unable to use the stairs, plus a wonderful welcome basket of fruit & biscuits and milk. Facilities were tremendous, beds so comfy we didn't want to get out of them and it was spotlessly clean. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment.
We booked The Dartmoor Halfway Inn as we were attending a function in Newton Abbot. The staff were really helpful and the accomodation was superb. Little touches like fresh milk upon arrival and another fresh little bottle in the morning added to the visit. Evening meal and breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay here again, probably in the caravan next time. (already picked what pitch we would try and request!!!!)
The apartment is ideally situated in near proximity to both Paignton and Torquay where we have family. We also found it easy to access places of interest to us - Totnes, Brixham, Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Slapton Sands and Salcombe . We have appreciated the tasteful furniture, the excellently equipped kitchen and many other facilities we were not expecting. A great place to enjoy a holiday in South Devon
Not cheap but truly superb value.
Excellent location, very easy to find. Very professional, welcoming and friendly staff . Our room was spacious, well appointed with a bed that pretty much guaranteed a good sleep.
Good quality pub food with reasonable prices. Excellent breakfast.
Comfortable chairs in garden were a perfect place to enjoy an after dinner drink.
We will be back again.
The bed was really comfy, and the breakfast was delicious. The eggs were from their own chicken and the conserves were all home made. The property is close to a bus stop with a frequent bus service into Newton Abbot and other surrounding attractions (e.g. the towns of Ashburton and Buckfastleigh/Buckfast Abbey). The owner was very friendly, with a great sense of humour/fun.
This was a great location for exploring the south west. We arrived on the Sunday afternoon by car and did not use it again until we went home on Friday! The walk into Newton Abbot across Hackney Marsh nature reserve is very pleasant, and we visited key towns in the area by train, which are plentiful from Newton Abbot. Next time we come we'll leave the car at home!
We needed to stay new the centre of Newton Abbot as my husband was having eye surgery. The apartment was a 5 minute drive from the town so easy access to the clinic, supermarket etc. The apartment was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Our host was amazing and really accommodating with some last minute changes we needed to make.
Easy to find the hotel just off the main road, a few minutes outside Newton Abbot. I was actually escorted to my room, a rare luxury this week. Hasn't happened on any other night. Spacious twin room with a good shower room. Good restaurant with a very nice garden. All very clean and efficient. Breakfast was fine.
From arrival, which was down quite a remote country road, the hotel looked excellent from the outside and was equally as good in the pub/restaurant area as well as the bedrooms.
The staff were very friendly and there service was very good.
The food both for our evening meal and breakfast was very good.
You couldn't find better hosts than at the Keyberry Hotel. Excellent dinner and cooked breakfast. We appreciated having marmalade The manager went out of his way to help us access the hotel as there were roadworks that evening. Very comfortable bed. Warm and quiet room. Private off-road parking.
Loveliest b&b I've ever been to. Debbie is the sweetest host. She even gave us a ride to Newton Abbot as we travelled by bus (would recommend coming by car!). Amazing breakfast selection including a full British breakfast (veggie options available as well) prepared by Debbie! Definitely 12/10!
The host jayne was lovely we had everything and more that we needed, it was very easy to find and central for everywhere around, there is a lovely pub called the sloop 6 minute walk away serving lovely food and the service was warm and friendly, what a lovely place to stay
Beautifully located in secluded location , the rooms were immaculate and bed comfy
The food was exceptional for pub food and the staff were lovely, we would have no hesitation in returning on our next visit to the area
Highly recommended
An ideal location to visit lots of tourist places.
Near to local super market and restaurant/ pub but in a quiet location.
The house was warm and cosy and had everything we needed.
Such a great stay. Helen was lovely, placewas so quiet and peaceful. Fresh bread, eggs, milk and juice all provided and lots of fire wood. Pub down the road is so nice
As a whole it was all excellent. Daisy went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself was really lovely and the food was excellent.
