The views to the ocean from the main pool, the big balcony of the room overlooking the small pool and the garden, and the help of their travel agency to help me find a spot in a group doing the Blue Safari. The lobby is beautiful.

It is a very good hotel set in well maintained grounds. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The public rooms are attractive and inviting.

Interesting town, much to see, like the TAAF Snake Farm, where I was for a course, the Gede ruins and much more. Good infrastructure, which is not in all coastal towns in Kenya the case. The beach in front of Papa Remo is alone worth going there!

Watamu is beautiful , but unfortunately too touristical for me. Heavily overpriced for Kenya. People who like bust tourist spots will like it though... traditionally many Italians, if you want to avoid those, Watamu is also not your choice

Watamu has lovely people, tourists are so safe its unreal.
Watamu has lovely people, tourists are so safe its unreal. Large Italian population and visitors, so most hotels and resteuraunts are italian owned. Best place to eat and the most jawdropping view is from Ocean Sports.

Watamu as such is lovely with a few good public beaches.
Watamu as such is lovely with a few good public beaches. Restaurants are galore and most really good, although mostly expensive. Among the coastal towns I visited in Kenya and Tanzania, I have come back to Watamu most often. The water is crystal clear, the beach white and not overrun, and the area offers enough activities to not get boring.

Local administration and hoteliers should strive to attract...
Local administration and hoteliers should strive to attract more local tourists. Overdependence on foreigners leads to exaggerated prices in addition to leaving Watamu as a ghost town especially in low season.
We really enjoyed our stay here, this is a luxury resort with beautiful rooms located right on the beach. They give a complimentary breakfast that is very good. They also have a lunch and dinner menu that you have to pay for that is excellent. The rooms here are fantastic and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is very attentive and do a great job making sure that you are comfortable and happy. Highly recommend this resort to anybody looking to stay in Watamu.
This so great place! We liked everything! The room is so beautiful, there is so big and beautiful terrace, the view from the terrace! The breakfast and dinner were served to our private table outside of our room. We could enjoy the view and privacy and it felt like five stars hotel, when James cooked so delicious food. Breakfast was also excellent! You are already on the beach, when you open the gate from the garden. The owner Beba runs this place with big heart!
The location is amazing! Right by the creek so you can jump for a swim, canoe trip or bird watching.
The staff is the best, super caring and feels just like home- they will take care of everything with huge generosity.
They offer many activities such as cooking classes, building classes & tours of the area.
This place is totally genuine and gives you the real experience of Kenya’s beautiful nature and the great people hosting it.
I was fortunate to get a room with a sea view. While the rooms generally do face the sea, some are partially blocked by the palm trees. I enjoyed the beach. The hotel has arguably the best beach in Watamu. The biggest plus is access to the Islands between 6.30am to around noon during the low tide. All in all, its a great place. Oh, the hottest joint in town is next door, Papa remo.
The location is very good. It's close to the main Watamu shopping center and a few meters from the all-weather road. It is close to essential services - Gas station, Pharmacy, eateries, and a shopping mall. One can walk to the Beach too! The lady taking care of the facility - Anna- is such a kind soul. She consulted on our breakfast needs and checked constantly if we were fine.
Amazing place, the best we have stayed at in Africa. Felt like we were in a 5* hotel..spotless, comfortable, quiet. We extended our stay by an extra night we liked it so much..Maggie looked after us impeccably, warm and a perfect host, ready to help whenever we needed her. Highly recommended recommended.
Excellent location. The hotel itself has obviously suffered during Covid so some amenities tended to be missing. Otherwise it was one of the best resort locations on that stretch of the beach. The staff were excellent and special mention to James who kept us entertained by the pool everyday.
I personally liked best the homely atmosphere in the compound, great hospitality and obvious love for nature and environment. No unnecessary luxuary, but everything provided that one needs for a relaxing get away in a quiet place such as a marine protected area.
All-inclusive - great food but the alcoholic beverages were quite disappointing - they offer only the cheapest alcohol. The hotel is spacious, great beach and best in the area, by all the locals we met. there is great diving center in the hotel.
Cosy, comfortable, clean hotel. Francesca is a great host and has excellent recommendations! Rooms had hot water and AC. Hotel near to town and fortama beach
