We rented a scooter and drove all over the island.
We rented a scooter and drove all over the island. I felt safe. Local drivers very courteous and patient with visible tourists. VERY busy and crowded in tourist locations at the start of May. I can not imagine how crowded during summer peak. Driving with car and local busses is slow because of that. I was sooo glad I rented a scooter!

Something for everyone. Seafront walk.
Something for everyone. Seafront walk. Interesting shops and a great variety of restaurants, cafes, bars. A well stocked local supermarket (Wellbees). Bus terminal to take you around the island (some buses get quite packed, you may have to stand) boat trips, bus trips, everything easy to find. Friendly locals all speak English and very helpful.

picturesque, cool and windy wonderfully wild at times, this was early spring, and I'm no beach lover, but a good walk along length. Transport via bus is very good, worth getting a roaming 7 day card, 25e for as much travel and often as you want, 10 trips and its paid for, the rest is bonus. plenty of towns Sites and cities to visit. avoid the 17.00-18.00 tme, its gridlock, but if you cool about that and don't mind 'sardines' on the local bus, its ok and plenty to look out for ready for the following day. Plenty of expats have settled here, so no shortage of guidance and advice. No shortage of local shops and small supermarkets to use if you have a kitchen available, Wellbies is probably choice in the town itself, a very good Lidl just outside, but accessible by bus on your daytrips..

St Paul's Bay is a very touristy part of Malta, which provides excellent value for money if a little less traditional. However, the public transport and hire car options on Malta (which is a very small island - driving to most places takes under 30 minutes) make this an excellent base to explore from. The bars, restaurants and coastal areas of St Paul's Bay provide a wide choice for all tastes and wallets. Swimming beaches and running routes are easily accessible. The classic car museum and aquarium offer interesting activities should you wish to pay for something, otherwise a cheap and interesting holiday can be had here without breaking the bank. The promenade is safe and easy for a stroll to look out to sea or spot a classic/super car (whilst we were there we saw several Mercedes, Porsche and an Aston Martin) or head to safe swimming areas - pretty well suited if you like triathlon training as there are bike hire shops around here too.

The only thing we didn't like was being invited to a nearby hotel to supposedly look round and show interest in staying there but ended up them trying to sell us a very expensive membership to a club in exchange for them selling you cheap holidays. For our time they gave us €25 & a free beach bag.Thereafter when we declined there offer they became aggressive . I would warn others not to get involved in this in the first place.

Lots of restaurants, some on the beachfront.
Lots of restaurants, some on the beachfront. We really enjoyed the Travellers Rest - good food, great value and service. Easy access to bus depot for trips to Valetta and Mdina. We did lots of walking along the coast.
Definitely not a beach holiday destination as the coastline is very rocky with only a couple of very small patches of sand. Certainly not suitable for children.
Very clean, great room, direct sea access and many pools, several restaurants in the building with tasty food&drinks, very friendly and helpful staff, family friendly and at the same time wonderful for grown ups without kids or teenage kids. Great location with nearby buses to all parts of Malta, stores, etc.
After 8 days here, enjoying sightseeing as well as spending time at the hotel, I highly recommend the Dolmen in particular to people who are looking for a non-snobbish hotel with great infrastructure, service and location.
Excellent stay at the Pearl Guesthouse. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The hotel is beautifully kept with all amenities required available. The breakfast is excellent value, the rooftop pool area is a great place to unwind. Excellent location for getting to all the best beaches in Malta, paradise day and golden Bay are all a bus ride from this location. Extremely accessible. Thank you Teddy, Anigelica and AB for being exceptional hosts.
.Great see view from our appartment on the 8th floor. Very spacy room. Very polite, caring personel. If any problems they were rectified very quickly. Parking inclusive underground. Very good cold and warm breakfast. Great infinity pool. Discounts from hotel for nearby restaurants and Malta aquarium. Hotel on the street but due to well insulated windows the room was very quiet.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The heating was great, which was really important because was traveling with small kids in winter. The beds were really comfortable and big. The kitchen was fully equipped. The location was fine. Walking distance to the aquarium, but relatively far from the center of Malta. Bus station was in front of the hotel.
We are just home for a fantastic trip away in Malta.. Location of this hotel is perfect, 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop. Food was amazing - we'd breakfast included in our stay we opted to eat in the hotel restaurant which was lovely and very reasonably priced! Staff were very friendly, couldn't do enough for you! Highly recommend this hotel 😊
The communication with the host was excellent and the apartment was great. It matched my expectations as it was exactly the same as presented on the website. I loved how sunny it was during the whole day and that it had 2 balconies to enjoy the sun from sunrise to sunset. Would definitely recommend and would come back if ever in Malta again.
Entire staff was helpful and kind. The bed was comfortable. All of my questions were answered promptly. The hostess Marlene and her husband were kind and helpful. The location is good. Right near everything you may need. Market around the corner. Near the Malta National Acquarium and waterfront promenade.
Seaview Hotel is a great hotel in the heart of St Paul's Bay Malta. It has really great facilities including an indoor pool and an outdoor infinity pool. The hotel rooms themselves are a great size and cannot be faulted. The housekeeping staff and breakfast staff are incredibly friendly.
Mark is a great host. Always at your beck and call. There is plenty’s of space in the rooms. They are much larger than a typical European hotel. Lot of places to eat and shop for food nearby. The communal kitchen is a nice place to hang out and visit with friends. Ditto for the rooftop.
This was my first time in Malta and the hotel was ideal. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were nice and clean. The view from the restaurant and pool over the harbour were a bonus. The hotel is close to a number of bus routes with the transport being cheap and frequent.
Nice aparthotel with great views of the sea. The apartment is new and fully equipped. Even St. Paul's bay itself is, in my opinion, a top choice in Malta. Parking sometimes takes a while, but we never ran out of street parking, maybe just parked a few hundred meters away.
Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Off season some of the lowest prices on Malta and definitely a great deal. In the summer the hotel changes names to Bora Bora and becomes a party hotel - Pebbles is not a party hotel.
Amazingly beautiful hotel with great facilities and staff. We enjoyed our staying, loved our room with a great sea view. Breakfast was really good at their main restaurant with a fantastic bay views. The staff were responsive and nice.
Everything was perfect, super.good room, cleanness of the room 10 out of 10. Thanks to everyone Special Sup. Rajat and team Anil and govind. Thanks to Mr.Ajay and Rajesh to helping us to know more about hotel.
My partner has family in malta and this hotel is maybe a 2 minute walk too them, its not far from the beach, there is plenty of shops around, the cafes are lovely in that area and great night life.
Location in a quiet area of Malta, perfect for a relaxing holiday. Pool area was clean and not too busy, hotel was generally clean. Location very close to shops, bars and restaurants.
The staff was really helpful and polite. The room was spacious and convenient. The hotel is located near to the most famous beach destinations of Malta.
