We visited the fort which was a very informative piece of history. We walked down the oldest street with the beautiful canopy of trees near the Fountain of Youth attraction. The peacocks walking around the grounds were very nice to see. We walked through the Old Jail attraction area and visited a delightful tea shop. Walking through the Old Town there were a lot of choices of restaurants and several had live music. We ate at a wonderful family owned restaurant named "Raintree" that was located a short distance from the old town. The Spanish architecture gives you that colonial feel that takes you back in time. Many of the sites were in or adjacent to the old city which made it convenient to do several things. We took a ghost tour and learned about the history of the city. My daughter and I enjoyed the shops on St. George while my husband toured the fort. He said it was very interesting. We ate at Mojo’s barbecue which was very good and finished our trip visiting the lighthouse. Loved it! So many things to see have to come back. A lot of places were not disabled person friendly. I would of like to see more, but as a disabled person. I was disappointed for me and my family. Iver all need about a week or more.Macklin

Note that walking along Ponce de Leon Boulevard is quite tricky as only one side of the road was equipped with a pedestrian road. However the hotel is near a high traffic road and thus the noise may be elevated. The soap and shampoo samples were very nice and enjoyable. The hotel restaurant was the best part of the stay! Great service and good quality —- one of the best places we ate at St Augustine.

Breakfast was good but not great. The bed was a little firm for my tastes but the room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. Parking was very good. I would rate this an 8.5 and an excellent value.

It's an older property, but the rooms are very big and well-maintained, with a small kitchen, excellent bed (right by the big windows looking out on the beach) and yes, again, SUPER helpful, friendly staff. Is it luxury? No, but it is far and above the quality and staffing of most "beach" hotels.
