Macher is a small village but you can find there everything you need: supeermarket, restaurants, gas station It is very peaceful place, perfect to relax. Location is very convinient: in the middle of the island- 30 minutes drive to Playa Papagayo or to Mirador del Rio. Whenether you want to go you will get there quickly.RafalPoland - 10Scored 10

A lovely town with everything you need accessible. It was more remote and away from the tourist places like Puerta del Carmen and Playa Blanca. Macher is well placed if you want some peace and quiet but...
Macher is well placed if you want some peace and quiet but handy for visiting Puerto del Carmen & Puerto Calero as well being central for trips to the rest of the island. About a mile away is the lovely coast path between the two above resorts which are also linked by a regular boat service. There is also a lovely local tapas bar in the next village.NeilUnited Kingdom

On arrival, a lovely bottle of chilled local wine was left for us, which was much appreciated. Alejandro was an excellent host and was always contactable by mobile should we have any queries. If ever we returned to Lanzarote we would, without question, stay at Five Suites again.

Bed was comfy The room was quiet, even with planes flying overhead. Amazing pizza restaurant down the street. Really close to a large supermarket 10 minutes walk to the bus which would take you directly to the airport.

Communication with Alfonso was really easy and he gave us some nice tips for the island. Especially the opportunity to have breakfast outside and sunbathing at the roof terrace was fantastic!
