Buddhist temple berusia 1000 tahun, Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in menawarkan penginapan gaya Jepun, taman yang indah serta Wifi percuma. We were curious about the vegetarian food that was offered in this place, and it was a nice pleasant surprise. The rooms were big, compared to other places where we stayed in Japan, and they had heaters available, to cope with the cold. This place was right on the main street of the town, so its location is very convenient to get around town.

We wanted to have a traditional experience as such. We loved the atmosphere. It calmed us down very quickly. The entity is managed by very little stuff. But they do their best to serve the small amount of guests well. Therefore one feels very familiar and cozy. In order to embrace every detail we recommend to join the morning ceremony and to visit the onsen. As a vegetarian I had no problem trying the whole menu provided. One could see that it’s been made with love. The rest of my family did not really enjoy the food, but also tried almost everything out of respect.

Terletak di Koyasan, 45km dari Matsushita Park, 高野山 宿坊 龍泉院 -Koyasan Shukubo Ryusenin- mempunyai pemandangan taman. This temple really feels magical. The monks were very welcoming and professional. I liked how the temple is not commercial at all, and feels like a very local experience. The rooms are big and comfortable. As a solo female traveller I overall felt safe. The meals (dinner and breakfast) are typical Japanese vegetarian courses, served in very beautiful rooms. The service in the early morning was very interesting and insightful. I appreciated that there were both Japanese visitors and foreign visitors and the monks gave us an explanation in English.

Truly an experience I’ll never forget. The Monks are all so kind and welcoming. There ceremonies, the food, the history and culture. You feel part of the family and that feeling will stay forever. The entire experience from train to cable rail car, is all part of an experience that is priceless. Nearby sites and the town itself on Mt. Koya are unbelievable.

Terletak di lokasi yang mudah di daerah Kawayu Onsen bagi Tanabe, Minshuku Sumiya terletak 12km dari Hosshinmon Oji Shrine, 20km dari Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art dan 23km dari Kumanoshi... This property was amazing and the host Yuri was delightful! The public river onsen was OUTSTANDING. It was our favourite onsen in Japan and only a 2 minute walk away - would recommend cold river plunges! The lunches and dinners (we skipped breakfast due to early hike days) were exceptional and some of our favourite meals of the trip. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the massage chair in the lobby was amazing after a few hard days of hiking! Would stay here again and would recommend staying here instead of the other onsen locations nearby (Yunomine/Hongu).

Our visit to Koyasan and stay at Jokiin Temple was one of the most unforgettable highlights of our trip to Japan. The experience was truly special, and we are deeply grateful to our hosts for their warm hospitality. Being welcomed into their temple and witnessing the magical morning ceremony was an honor—an experience we will cherish forever!

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara features outdoor and indoor hot spring baths, only a 2-minute walk from the World Heritage Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes. this is the best hotel that I have stayed in on my trip through Japan so far the owner is a very interesting and lovely person and you can just feel how passionate these people are about their hotel the food was amazing and I enjoyed the onsen and view from my room's window a lot
