Conveniently located in central Kyoto, Ryokan KANADE offers a Japanese-style garden. Futon,tatami all this stuff. Also outdoor (or more precise -outroof) onsen is great after long day of exploring the city. Room is huge. Breakfast dish was different every day (but always japan cusine) and really tasty. Highly recommend!

It was so sweet! And the staff could speak English and Japanese so language wasn’t a problem.

Situated a 10-minute walk from lively Kawaramachi area, Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei offers Japanese-style accommodation with modern facilities and traditional design. It provides a tour desk and a bar on the ground floor. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Lovely experience to stay in Sakura Urushitei. We had Japanese style room and couldn't be happier sleeping in cozy futons and softest blankets in such a beautiful surroundings. Had Japanese breakfast each morning, remember to book breakfast in advance :) Ryokan has own bath which can be booked for private use. Convenient location very near Shijo station and Kawaramachi.

Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. The owner was very welcoming and nice. The first thing he did was take a lot pictures for me before asking me to check in. He was a very professional photographer, he took from a lot of angles and backgrounds. The food and service were very exceptional. The onsen pass was also included but the best one was from the ryokan itself. You can have the cave onsen all to yourself without reservation.

Rooms feature tatami-mat flooring, comfortable futon bedding and paper sliding screens. They are fitted with an LCD TV and a safe. Bathroom facilities are shared, and the public baths are open 16:00-22:00 and 06:00-09:00 daily. Lovely room, great location, nice to be able to enjoy on site meditation, as well as prayer ceremony and fire ritual.

Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the entire property. It’s a very old Ryokan but it is well maintained. It has its own public bath so you get to experience it without an added cost and it is very convenient. Our room had its own bath too. The dinner was very good, every dish served was good. The Japanese lady who served us was very kind and attentive. I also liked the garden view from the room. The train station is nearby.

Units are complete with a private bathroom, while certain units at the ryokan also provide guests with a seating area. The interior and finish were amazing , the blend of Japanese and Scandinavian furnishings were so elegant. Staying at the traditional Japanese room gave us a true Japanese experience.

It's an exceptionally quiet place providing a welcome break from the bustle of the city. Breakfast is huge and they catered for vegetarians.
