Great location - close to the other islands via ferry/bus but quietly removed from all of the hustle. Beautiful treed island with great views. Breakfast was fantastic.

Opened in January 2015, Hotel Kungsträdgården is housed in a fully-renovated 18th century building in central Stockholm. The hotel is ideally located, the decoration is cosy and chic, the breakfast is delicious. Although the small rooms are quite small, they make you feel very cosy and relaxed, the decoration inside is minimalistic but very lovely.

Set by a fortress from 1735, this waterfront hotel on Värmdö Island offers impressive views of Solöfjärden and the surrounding archipelago. A quiet location, but accessible by bus or ferry from Stockholm. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We went on their free fortress tour, and they gave us a lift to the ferry. There are lots of lovely places to admire the views, including the cruise ships going by.

This B&B is on the shore of Lake Mälaren, 10 km from Strängnäs and about 1 hour's drive from Stockholm city centre. It offers free Wi-Fi and private parking. This renovated barn house is located in the peaceful countryside close to Lake Mälaren, just 6 km from Strängnäs. Free WiFi internet and private parking are included in all rates. All the staff are lovely, feeding the animals is lovely, the surrounding is lovely, definitely recommend!

Situated by the National Museum, this chic waterfront hotel offers views of the Old Town and Royal Palace. It offers a popular bistro-style restaurant and art exhibitions. The location was great. The room was spacey and very comfortable. The bed was great. Breakfast was also great. Each floor has a separate sitting area which is full of books and even vinyls which you can listen to!
