On the banks of the river, this motel is in Sangis just 100 metres from the E4 motorway and 20 km from Kalix. Very friendly owner. The cabin is very clean. It has everything you need for a day.

Situated in Jukkasjärvi in northern Sweden, IceHotel features rooms entirely made out of sculptured ice from the neighbouring Torne River. Warm rooms are also offered. We’re huge fans of this hotel. Over the past year, we’ve stayed three times and have experienced every type of room they offer. For adventure lovers, it’s simply fantastic. This time, we came especially for river rafting and gravel biking to enjoy Kiruna’s summer. Compared to the winter season, the atmosphere was much quieter, with a completely different vibe. It almost feels like you have the entire hotel to yourself—which is incredible. When it comes to the rooms, if you’re mainly there for the tours, any option will do. But if you’ve never stayed in an ice room, it’s an absolute must. Since we had already tried both the Deluxe and Art Suites before, this time we opted for a warm room(kamoos hotel room) , which worked perfectly. Before we stayed in a kamoos deluxe warm room and comparing to that, only significant difference was the comfiness of the bed. Pillows and mattress could be better. Also there was no mini fridge. Again, since we were out all day long for tours, -except the mattress- those didnt matter to us. Breakfast, as always, was fantastic. They’ve even added vegan bread—kudos to the chef, it was excellent. The dinner menu was the same as in winter: pricey, but absolutely delicious. Staff is amazing as always, we seen some familiar faces from our previous stays. Mostly they are working seasonal i guess but all of them are sharing the same passion. Overall, it’s a wonderful place both in winter and summer, but in my opinion, the real highlight is the tours. They are the perfect way to discover the North, immerse yourself in the culture, and experience the wilderness. So far, every guide we’ve had has been outstanding. I believe if we join few more tours, they will convince us to move to Kiruna :)

Offering a popular á la carte restaurant and turn of the century ambiance, the historical Haparanda Stadshotell features a sauna, bar and free WiFi access. The Torne Älv River is 300 metres away. The hotel shows off its historic roots really well with lots of pictures and artifacts and salons to view. The rooms are updated and comfy without losing any charm.

This newly opened hotel is located in the very centre of Luleå and features unique photo art, seasonally inspired designs and free access to the on-site fitness centre. Really lovely hotel, great foyer area with bar and free/tea coffee, modern decor. Hotel includes a small gym and a small heated pool. Beds were super comfortable, we had a large room and it was well-equipped with a bar fridge and a lot of storage. Location opposite the Lulea Ice Track was excellent and walking distance to all tourist attractions. The buffet breakfast is fantastic the sheer quantity of food and the size of the restaurant is impressive even though it is always busy there is enough space for everyone to sit and the food is continually replenished. All the staff were super friendly. The rooms were very quiet and warm. We would stay again.

Housed in a refurbished late 1800s mansion, this quiet hotel has a free relaxation area with hot tub, sauna and fireplace. I cannot fault the hospitality of the staff, they were some of the most welcoming and helpful people I've ever met. The room was large and comfortable with a bathroom to match it. A lovely breakfast to start off the day with a selection of drinks. Fuel station near by for the car and plenty of shops just beyond for a look around.

This hotel is in Abisko, just 2 minutes’ walk from Abisko Östra Train Station. Abisko Mountain Lodge’s in-house restaurant Brasserie Fjällköket has a seasonal menu based on locally sourced... Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere

Surrounded by mountain nature, the family-owned Camp Ripan .is a 10-minute car ride from Kiruna city centre. Great place for a visit to Kiruna. Very spacious, warm, clean and has amazing food. The breakfast is world class 👌The staff was very helpful and kindly assisted us to book Northern lights and husky ride.

This historic hotel is located in central Piteå, only 5 minutes’ walk from the bus station. It offers a restaurant and on-site gym. WiFi is free in all rooms. Piteå Stadshotell was built in 1906. Fantastic staff from reception to restaurant staff. Breakfast was an amazing buffet and the food was so delicious we ate dinner at hotel 3 nights in a row. Exceptional food and value. M
