The setting along the Danube River was lovely. The hotel staff are among the most exceptional in our 60 days of travel, they are good people. We had a very good dinner with a stunning dessert. The pancakes with fig jam take a few extra minutes to prepare but the flavors and preparation are remarkable, we highly recommend! Unfortunately we only spent one night here, had I known better I would have lingered longer.

Located in the centre of Drobeta Turnu Severin, the Continental hotel offers rooms with a minifridge or a minibar and cable TV. The room was excellent - large bed, proper desk where I could work on the computer, nice bathroom. All have been clean, and also the parking was nice. There is also a good restaurant that is open for dinners, and I have been quite happy with the service. I took a room with a view to the Danube, which was very relaxing and I liked it.
