He’s a true professional — someone you often see walking around the island, quietly checking how guests are enjoying their holiday. The moment he enters a space, the staff seem to light up and become even more attentive, as if inspired by his energy. That’s what great management looks like in action.The food has noticeably improved since our last visit two years ago — it’s consistently tasty, with creative themed dinners every night that make dining a pleasure in itself. There’s also thoughtful variety, like a small pizza spot for when you want a quick bite. Even small requests, like extra water in the room, are handled with care and speed.But what really sets Dhigali apart is the feeling of home. That’s the reason we came back. Christian and his team have built something very rare here — a resort that feels both polished and personal. Everyone, from the buggy drivers to the reception team (a special mention to Samin) to the restaurant staff, carries themselves with quiet professionalism and warmth.There’s also a bar by the shore that naturally brings people together in the evenings — it has such a good vibe that I can easily imagine live fire rituals or dance nights there.Just for comparison, we’re currently staying at another Maldives resort — it’s beautiful, and the people are kind, but I have no idea who manages the place. The difference is striking.
