Prashant is incredibly kind and helpful—his availability and hospitality made all the difference during our stay. What truly makes this place special is his amazing project to rescue stray dogs and cats, especially females. You’ll find many sweet animals around the property, and for us, that was the best part. It’s clear how proud Prashant is of what he’s doing, and we were proud to support him too. The guesthouse is just a 5-minute walk from the beach and about 15 minutes from Trincomalee—super convenient. The shower had hot water with great pressure, the room was clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. What else can I say? If you love animals, this is the place for you. Right next door you’ll find Mom’s Kitchen, their family restaurant—probably the best and most affordable food in Uppuveli. Don’t miss the Rice & Curry buffet!

He went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The pool was particularly good, clean and big enough for lap swimming. Nice and close to the beach.

Me and my friend loved our stay at Silaa Cabana. From the moment we walked on the property, we did not want to leave anymore. The Cabana's are super sweet and Neville (the owner) is very attentive. Big room, nice setting, superb view from the balcony. Right on a clean sandy beach, next to a PADI center offering also many activities for non divers. Location was perfect for us (away from the village, but 2 min tuk tuk ride from shops). Kids were very happy with the pool, me happy with the cold beer, wife happy with the ocean. If ever back in the area we will do it again.
