We nearly didn't book this place because it was so cheap and we thought it might be substandard, however I can say it was just delightful, large basic room with mosquito net (no mossies in my room), a large big verandah looking out onto the garden. Uppila took us on a free guided night walk around his property to look for wildlife. Uppila booked our Ayurvedic massages, drove us there and waited. He organised a tuk tuk to the ruins. He was always up for a chat and we felt cared for. He was just so kind and friendly and open and honest. I feel privileged to have met him and his family. Stay here, you will love it!

Owner of the place, he helped with a hack with the sockets (little secret), and give honest opinion about safari (that it's not worth it at that time of the year). Pool is unexpectedly good, we were alone on it, but it was clean, lights were romantic, all the place it just perfect. Also the dinner and the breakfast was very tasty. I am rarely this satisfied with place. Keep it up!

The dining area was also very convenient—fully equipped with plates, glasses, spoons, a burner, microwave, fridge, and everything we needed to prepare or enjoy meals comfortably. Another big plus is the location—very close to the main attractions in Polonnaruwa like Gal Viharaya and Rankoth Vehera.
