The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. The Golden Crown Hotel was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my entire trip through Sri Lanka including Colombo, the north, and other regions. The service, friendliness, and atmosphere were absolutely exceptional. Everything felt perfectly balanced professional yet genuinely warm. A few people made the experience truly unforgettable. Dananjaya was always helpful, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. He really made my stay more enjoyable with his positive energy. Mlhirini had such a kind and welcoming presence. She constantly made sure I had everything I needed and was always up for a nice conversation. So caring and attentive. Roshan, the manager, is a truly kind person. Under his leadership, the service was simply outstanding. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for real hospitality and excellent service, this is the place. I’ll definitely come back!

36 Bed & Breakfast is located just 600 metres from the famous Kandy Museum and 700 metres from the sacred Sri Dalada Maligawa. Free WiFi access is available. Stunning property with the most comfortable beds we have slept on throughout our whole trip! The breakfast was delicious and the staff were amazing. Would definitely return!!

Green View Holiday Resort has a variety of rooms, each with its own private bathroom. Free WiFi is available in the resort’s common areas. Facilities include an outdoor pool and restaurant. The pool was very big and the water was actually cool! Very refreshing! My kids loved it! The owner is very nice and even went to go pick us up some dinner after our night swim:) Fans and air-conditioning in the room! The location is about a 15-20 min drive outside of the Kandy city centre, but we thought it was well worth it!

Hanthana House is the most amazing place to stay in Kandy. Tucked in the mountains amongst trees and green. This is a beautiful house with lovely staff who do their absolute best to make this a memorable stay. We had the two bedroom apartment and it was so good we decided to extend our stay. Breakfast in the family kitchen was also a huge highlight for us!

This homestay is located in a hilltop. The room is spacious clean and overlooking luscious green trees. The hosts were very friendly, would go over and above to make the guests feel homely and comfortable.

Located amidst rolling green hills and the Madulkelle Tea Estate, this property offers tents with a terrace, a seating area, and en suite bathroom with hot/cold water. It's our 2nd time in Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge and we will keep coming back! Inspiring and magical place where you get to sleep just under the clouds. All the comforts. 5-star food. Wonderful experiences on offer for nature lovers. Lovely caring staff who make us feel at home away from home. It's always difficult leaving this wonderful place.

I had a fantastic stay at this lovely house in the hills just outside Kandy. The location is quiet and surrounded by nature, with stunning views over a forest valley — the perfect place to relax after exploring the city. The house itself is modern, beautifully renovated, and very comfortable. But what really stood out was the warmth of the couple who own it. From the first moment, they made me feel truly at home — more like a guest in their home than a customer. In the morning they prepared a delicious homemade Sri Lankan breakfast. One of the highlights was the coconut rotti — absolutely incredible — along with fresh fruit and other traditional dishes. You could really taste the care they put into everything. They also went out of their way to help me when the airline delayed my baggage. They followed up and made sure it arrived safely at the house, which I really appreciated. If you’re visiting Kandy and looking for a quiet, authentic place with genuine hospitality, I can’t recommend this stay enough.
