We took a surfing class which was super fun and the restaurant next to the hotel serves the best coconut roti in the world.

The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s young cricketers. The colonial architecture hotel itself is one of Galle’s highlights, and I was constantly able to feel the city’s history by my side. The breakfast had many options and was very delicious!

We had a delicious breakfast every day looking out onto the pristine garden. His staff were always helpful and friendly. We will definitely return to this clean and wonderful property.
