The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s young cricketers. Really stylish hotel. You can tell from the details of the decors! It was def a memorable experience for us. Staff were super friendly. The restaurant is a big plus! Dinner was great! Best breakfast i had in a week trip in Sri Lanka.

The room was spacious, clean, with a balcony, AC, fans, fridge, large bed, and many places to hang clothes. The included breakfast was lovely and the room price was very reasonable. The staff were very kind and hospitable to me. The manager, Sanjeewa, helped arrange a ride to Colombo and let me stay in my room after checkout time so I could be comfortable until my ride came. I greatly appreciated that and the other staff are also nice people. The beach and restaurants are a 5 minute walk. My stay was perfect, thank you 🙏🏽
