Kaiseki dinner was impressive and performance ( singing) of owner well placed to set the scene in the great dining room. Very friendly and attentive staff. View of external onsen mind blowing!

The hotel I chose for the proximity to Tokushima train station, and it was decently priced. It is just on the corner from the station, and the hotel even has an own entrance and exit to a 7/11 convenience store. The room was rather big, even fancy, with a decently sized bathroom and a bathtub which can actually be used as a bathtub. Wi-fi worked well in the room. There are multiple washing-dryer machines at the hotel, even more than usual, so no issues with overcrowding on those. They also can be paid with a card, not just with coins. There are also microwaves and vending machines. The staff were very helpful, and they helped with ordering luggage delivery. Breakfast was superb, with huge variety and lots of great local dishes.

JR Hotel Clement Takamatsu features 7 dining options, free WiFi while certain rooms feature panoramic sea and city views, a 1-minute stroll from JR Takamatsu Station. It offers massages and a hairdresser, and it boasts a fresh bakery. Room was relativly big for japanese hotels. Ozean view was great, we had a room on 10 the floor. Everything was clean and they had all the small things you exspect like toothbrush, pajamas, coffee/tea set. We just stayed for one night so it was very convient that the hotel is directly in fromt of Takamatsu station and the ferry pier.
