Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). A really great place to stay. The tatami rooms are lovely, we had the most wonderful autumn colours right outside our window. Fabulous. We also really enjoyed the veg. Curry in the evening.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. The Ryokan is very close to the Itsukushima Shrine and the Momijidani Ropeway. So its very convenient to visit the Shrine at 6.30, return for breakfast and then head to the ropeway which begins service by 9.00. The staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, especially the vegetarian meal. It is a short walk away from the ferry terminal, but the Ryokan offers a shuttle service for pick-up and drop.

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. We thought this Ryokan was perfectly located in Miyajima- easy to walk from the ferry but yet a bit up the hill and removed from the crowds. The ryokan had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room , due to what was available at time of booking, was not traditional Japanese but we found it quite comfortable and of good size. It had the option of turning on jazz background music which we liked! We really enjoyed our Ryokan meals in Japan and Kikunoya did not disappoint. We had wonderful meals with friendly service. Meals here seemed to perhaps give a bit of a nod to western tastes and coffee was available in the morning! They also had a nice onsen with outdoor area ( no view) which again is an important part of the overall experience. We recommend this hotel .

Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. Everything was fantastic - the rooms came with Yukatas, pajamas, vests, tea, water, a towel bag and one face wash set. The breakfast in the morning was unbelievable - that alone made the price well worth it, but add in the baths and lovely rooms & decor - just an unbelievable stay.

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. The attention to detail at this resort was impeccable, as was the quality of service. It is perfectly situated, being far enough away from the crowds, but within easy walking distance of the Torii gate, the "downtown" area, and the ropeway station for the ride up the mountain. Adjacent to the facility is a picturesque stream with the quintessential red colored pedestrian bridge. Be sure to sign up for the delicious breakfast and dinner; the same meal enjoyed by the heads of state at the recent G7 Summit held here. I will definitely be returning with my spouse to bask in the peace and tranquility of Miyajima.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. Simply perfect, great location, cozy rooms, nice staff and amazing sunset terrace

Diperbaharui pada tahun 2013, Sakuraya menyediakan bilik-bilik yang berpatutan dengan gaya Jepun dan menawarkan pemandangan gunung atau laut. WiFi percuma boleh didapati di kawasan awam. Very friendly staff, nice location, loved the tatami and the bed. Bath was a nice little addition to comfort.

Terletak di Miyajima, dalam 2.3km dari Pantai Tsutsumigaura dan 7-minit berjalan kaki dari Pagoda Lima Tingkat, Miyajima Hotel Makoto mempunyai penginapan dengan taman dan WiFi percuma di seluruh... The hotel lays on a perfect distance from the ferry, but in the nicer quieter area. We had a spacious room with a view on the sea and pier. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast very much. Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The public bath (onsen) is also available. Everything is there. They make your bed during your dinner.

Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath. The classic Ryokan vibe was super cool. The traditional meals were excellent and the service was great. The location was perfect, peaceful even during the day. Amazingly quiet and beautiful in the evening. There's a shuttle to/from the ferry terminal but it's just a 20 minute easy beautiful walk if necessary.
