The buffet was great, the onsen also, very friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay and would like to come back. The hotel is near a big Buddha statue with a nice park. To the lake you can walk in 30 minutes or take the bus. To the trainstation they offer a free shuttle service.

We dropped our luggage because it's not time to check in yet, and when we returned from walking around the city, it had been carried to our hotel room, which was spacious and clean, including the bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The room came with a large working desk, which was exactly what I needed because I still had to do some online meeting even though I was on my holiday! There's a convenience store on the ground floor, and the hotel is only across the street from Akita Museum of Art, the city theater, Kubota castle ruins and park, and shops and restaurants/cafés.
