From the minute we arrived we were welcomed and made to feel right at home. Guðrún Björg is the sort of host that others simply dream of being. Every single detail has been thought out, she is a warm wealth of information about the area, and someone who truly cares about making your stay and experience as magical as it could be. The meals we enjoyed were also exceptional - lamb sourced from the property, and cod caught by her sons and husband, and freshly made waffles in the morning - what more could you ask for? This place is worth every penny and the view from our cottage was just tops. Go - stay here - relax - enjoy!

Luxury beds and power showers are offered at Hótel Egilsen. Baldur Ferry Terminal and boats to the West Fjords and Flatey island are 300 metres away. Wi-Fi is free. The place is in a great location, just up from the harbour in a lovely spot . The rooms are cosy, a little tight on room, but very comfortable and modern. The staf are great, check-in a breeze and ready to help with dinner reservations or on what to see in the area. Lovely area by reception to have a hot drink, read or spend a few minutes. Breakfast was offered and was well worth it. Would stay again

Set in the quiet countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, this family-run guest house is 45 minutes’ drive from Stykkishólmur town centre. Great staff at check-in, and the room was fantastic with a chance to see the Northern Lights. Breakfast was included, making our stay even better after a long drive!
