I loved the outdoor areas, the Joglo sitting area with the antique furniture, the outside dining area, the seating area outside my room. It was a lovely place to sit and read and meet other travelers. The staff were very helpful in helping me plan my day trips to the various temples, especially to temples on the way to Prambanan, to Ratu Boko, the Dieng Plateau, and many other suggestions once they understood how keen I was. The drivers the arranged were excellent for a solo traveller and history buff like me. The location, near the ring road meant we could get onto it quickly and be otw without having the hassle of inner-city traffic.

Guests at the guest house can make the most of yoga classes offered in-house. Car hire and free use of bicycles are available at this guest house and the area is popular for cycling. Outdoor play equipment is also available at Blue Garden Yogyakarta, while guests can also relax in the garden. It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

All rooms have a private bathroom fitted with shower on solar energy. Everything was excellent. We stayed 2 nights in a family room because it was the only room left and it was huge, very clean, with a balcony overlooking rice fields. Shower and AC worked perfectly. Breakfast was simple but delicious (fruit juice, fresh fruit, cheese/egg & tomato toastie, tea). Filtered water was available to refill bottles. The owner and his Belgian friend helped us book tickets online for Borobodur & Prambanam, and also secured a driver. We were able to visit Prambanam before lunch, Borobodur after lunch, and also the two smaller Buddhist temples Pawon and Mendut. The hotel owner also booked a car to take us to the airport. We cannot recommend this hotel enough, superb service, including getting up early to give us breakfast. Would definitely stay again and stay for longer, this would be a nice place to unwind by the pool.

The reception staff and parking attendant were incredibly kind, and they even helped carry my luggage upon arrival and checkout. The room was well-equipped with a kettle, fridge, and safety deposit box, making the stay even more comfortable. The pool and the garden are just wonderful! Real oasis for travellers. An added bonus: there’s a well-stocked supermarket just around the corner.

In fact, we'll be recommending it exclusively to our family and friends. The location couldn't have been better—it was conveniently situated just 20 minutes away from Malioborro Street, and we loved that a shopping mall was within walking distance. Plus, having a supermarket right in front of the hotel made it incredibly convenient for any last-minute needs. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us warmly and were always ready to assist. When we mentioned that the air conditioning in our room wasn't cooling enough, they immediately addressed the issue, showing their dedication to guest satisfaction. Speaking of the room, it was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary amenity kits, which added an extra touch of luxury to our experience. Overall, our stay at this hotel was nothing short of perfect. We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories. Five stars all around!

It provides free WiFi access in all areas of the property and free on-site public parking for guests who drive. We loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful answering all our questions. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless clean. The swimming pool was great to swim after a long day of walking around. The breakfast was tasty and offered both Indonesian and western food. Location was prime. Very recommended for a couple of days in Yogja
