In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. Cute little bungalow in the jungle just on the river. It’s simple, but they have everything you need. in the restaurant there is a pretty good local fish. The staff is super!

The location hidden in the mangroves but only a short boat ride from town. The staff were all very friendly and willing to help. Food was great and very reasonably priced. Comfortable beds/rooms. Very serene atmosphere. The tour to Livingstone was well priced and fun! Free transfer to and from Rio Dulce on check in and out and free kayaks! For what you pay it's great value.
