Beautiful hotel set by the reservoir. Lovely view from lakeside rooms. Good size familyroom.Great play area outside for kids. Had a lovely evening meal and english breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Good carparking.

Stunning views overlooking Rutland Water are offered at The Finch’s Arms, a 17th-century country inn in the pretty village of Hambleton. This is an excellent hotel exceeding its rating. A fine example of the best of English hospitality, it sets a high benchmark which other inns and hotels should be aiming at and which in many cases do not. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful and the cleaners do a remarkable job, the inn is spotless. The place is very professionally run. It's a credit to the owners.

Dating back to 1604, this former hunting lodge offers traditional, spacious accommodation in the heart of Oakham, Rutland’s county town. Everything, it was the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The staff, the restaurant, the food, the cleanliness the atmosphere location. Everything was perfect. We would come back.

Located in the town centre of Oakham, the The George Inn is 1.5 miles from Rutland Water. The area is popular for sailing, trout fishing, bird watching and cycling. The breakfast was exceptional...the variety and portions were wonderful...you certainly don't go hungry.
