Due to airline flight reschedule, we arrived later than expected -- this was not an issue, as my reservation was still in place. Our room was very large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was outstanding, with so many choices of what to eat as well as healthy eating choices. And when I asked for "cream" for my tea, I was given the real thing, not whole milk or half-and-half -- and they remembered this every subsequent morning!!! Such a wonderful consideration! The Manager came to our (Raquel) table, introduced herself and was always present as we were coming and going for our visits with our friends. The cleaning staff was a great help, especially with the repositioning of the shower head and how to reset the thermostat. This was also followed up almost immediately from what we assumed to be the floor manager to be certain that we were comfortable. My friend and I are "mobility impaired" and it was a very, very pleasant surprise to have such close personal attention paid to our needs., even at checkout. We have never had such positive personal attention paid to us at any hotel we have stayed in the past 15+ years. And the price quoted was the actual cost for our stay -- AMAZING! Palafito Hostel Chiloé, a property with a terrace, is located in Castro, 20 km from Nuestra Señora de los Dolores Church, 21 km from Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Chonchi Church, as well as less than 1 km from Church of San Francisco. The property features sea and city views, and is 1.6 km from Sabanilla Beach. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, a shared kitchen and luggage storage for guests. We absolutely loved this hostel. We had room 8 with a beautiful view and a private terrace. We spent our entire rest day here enjoying the restful atmosphere and watching the tide go in and out. We made use of the lovely common spaces in the hostel as well. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in Chile, with hearty homemade seed bread, fresh fruit and yogurt, and eggs made to order. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

When I booked a room at the Lodge, I was planning to check-in and then spend the day at the hot springs nearby but the volcano and lake view at the location was so stunningly beautiful that I could find no reason to leave. Our room was large and lovely with an incredible lake view, the hosts hospitable, the breakfast perfect. We only had soup and drinks in the evening but I imagine that the food is fantastic as everything else. I would definitely stay again.

Free WiFi is available in public areas Amazing place. The best hotel I’ve ever visited. Would be better if one of the 8 pools was a proper hot pool though. Just a minor item.
