Since we came by ourselves with a rented car, Franklin gave us very good tips of where to go, suggesting routes, helping us with purchasing tickets for the places we wanted to go and giving us restaurant recommendations. Breakfast is generous and personalized and even when we needed to leave very early one day, they made an effort to leave a snack for us to go.

Providing a tranquil environment, the rooms in Hostal Desert feature private bathrooms. Very clean, beautiful room. I appreciated the wire shelves for our stuff. Breakfast was great, and I loved that you can also use the kitchen. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Mattresses were suuuper comfy too! I loved it. Definitely a step up from our normal backpackers hostel without being too fancy or uptight.
