The Strand hotel in Schmerikon is situated in a fantastic location directly on Lake Zurich. The accommodation has its own small beach, which is reserved for hotel guests only. Great hotel and restaurant, we had a wonderful stay, and staff are so welcoming. I highly recommend it.

Finally, the lady running this place is the sweetest host we had during an entire stay -a week- in Switzerland. Vibes are so relaxing and the breakfast is brilliant. Happy we ended up here!

Located 1 km from the centre of Gais high above Lake Constance, Bären - Das Gästehaus is a small and stylish boutique hotel surrounded by gardens. It offers free Wi-Fi and free private parking. This was our second time staying here and we plan to continue returning! The couple that owns the guesthouse goes above and beyond, they are so sweet and hospitality is 10/10. Great decor, cleanliness, spaciousness, etc. Thank you!

Situated at the foot of the Säntismassiv Mountain Range and the Kronberg Mountain, the Landgasthof Eischen features a traditional Appenzell restaurant with a terrace, a spa area and was renovated in... Beautiful property with a gorgeous spacious room. The staff was very friendly (even with a little language barrier); they were super helpful and kind.

The Hotel Frohe Aussicht hotel enjoys a quiet location in Schwende in the Alpstein Hiking Area. It offers free WiFi, fine regional cuisine, and a sauna. Perfect location, clear rooms, very friendly and dedicated stuff. Breakfast is also very decent.

The traditionally built, historic wood and stone house Flyhof in Weesen is a family-owned hotel, set directly at the shores of Lake Walen. The host was so kind already with a warm welcome. The rooms, toilets, shower, everywhere was clean. I enjoyed a lot the old furnitures in the building; the building itself is almost 900 years old. Also, I was very lucky to have a room with a lake view that I could get up with an amazing view from the bed. They have amazing terrasse in multiple layers - highest layer with tables and chairs for dining having a big tree in the middle (breakfast there with the lake view was just great), then they had nice chill lounge couches with parasol looks like a perfect place for apéro, middle layer for chilling with green grass, and the lowest layer with direct access to the lake where you can chill with the sun beds and parasols. It was so amazing! It felt like a hidden gem that we found like serendipity. Mind that they can host a very limited number of guests, so if you find it available, please don't miss this lucky chance! I loved that place also because I could feel that the hosts were putting their heart into their hotel. I will definintely come back!
